J.K. Rowling – Catriona Miranda

Just a quick post to update you on how I am getting on with my resolutions…

I have definitely managed to have less screen time, not a huge change but I have made this happen! Score!

Mostly though I wanted to write as I found out today that J.K. Rowling has a pseudonym called ‘Robert Galbraith’. I honestly NEVER knew. Not that I needed to. However I was listening away, quite merrily, to one of this Robert blokes books thinking, “Corrr these are gripping, I wonder if he’s written anymore?!” Only to find out this ‘guy’ is a girl.. called J.K. Rowling. Well tekkers to JK for this double author life, assuming she only has two names in the writing world. *turns to google*

This particular book is titled The Silkworm. It is the awesome sequel to The Cuckoo’s Calling. Honestly, two books I would definitely recommend listening to or reading if you want some escapism. They are both centred around Cormoran Strike, a private Detective. I did not think detective mystery’s were really my thing, but these two have changed my opinion.

I actually listened to both of these books whilst driving to and from events I was managing, or to meetings on long journey’s. The journey time vanishes before your eyes!
