Photo 101 Day Seventeen: Glass, Squared

‘I’ve always been drawn to glass: windows, mirrors, and other reflective surfaces. Glass is fun to experiment with when taking pictures, resulting in multi-layered and unexpected shots.’

So, so late with this one. The course finished last week; Friday in fact and… well you get the picture. Or rather you didn’t but now you do. Below. My interpretation of the Glass.

I was inspired by another Photo 101’ers post. I could not remember at first who the mystery blogger was but with a bit of a browse I found them. This photo by bettysarmitage was the inspiration of my photo 🙂 thank you to you x

Anyway I hope everyone is having a perfect Thursday. I have some really fun plans for the weekend and I can’t wait to share what I get up to with you all! Watch this ‘wonderful’ space.

Peace, bloggers x

Photo 101 Day Sixteen: Treasure & Close-up

‘In the absence of a wooden chest full of gold doubloons, any object or experience that is deeply meaningful can be a treasure. Items, places, people — we all cherish something, or someone.’

On Wednesday last week, we took a little time to cherish the sunshine and each others company and this sort of occasion is like treasure to me. You may notice that someone else unexpectedly joined in the feast. Enjoy your weekend 🙂 x

Photo 101 Day Fifteen: Landscape & Cropping

‘Landscapes generally focus on wide, vast depictions of nature and all of its elements, from formations to weather. In this genre of photography, you won’t find much of a human presence: nature itself is the subject.’

We took an evening trip to a local pub on this gorgeous sunny afternoon. Who doesn’t love a balmy summers day. There were a few others, like us, couples enjoying a good meal and a few rays of sunshine. Families with young kids running around in cute little shirts and shorts combos whilst their sisters wore colorful dresses with bows in their hair. We came to this pub because of its remote setting among the pretty shades of green and gold. The landscape did not disappoint.
